Empowering A Community About Progress, Not Perfection

Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire, empower, and provide support for minority at-risk youth, survivors of intimate partner violence, and female veterans within the community struggling with mental health and substance use disorders to prevent negative outcomes that result in health issues, academic difficulties, high-risk behaviors, and homelessness.

Our Vision

Virtuous Woman Inc. seeks to provide mentoring and coaching to minority at-risk youth, support groups for survivors of intimate partner violence, and linkages to community resources for female veterans; through workshops on personal development and empowerment, programs for mental health and substance abuse, and social events to increase awareness. It is our goal to meet the needs of these populations by providing the necessary community resources to improve quality of life. It is our expectation to create an innovative platform for preventing social issues, by addressing their root causes.

Our Story

The passion fueling Virtuous Woman Inc. was driven by our CEO's observation of the need for

mentorship and coaching of at-risk youth after the near death experience of one of her nephews in August of 2011, personal experiences with intimate partner violence, and growing up as the daughter of a Marine Vietnam Veteran.

Dr. Long saw the need for mentorship and programs for at-risk youth due to an increase in crime among them to help them to understand the consequences of the actions impact those around them. Due to the shame and guilt of her personal experiences physical abuse, she felt the need to provide support for survivors of intimate partner violence. The lack of resources and support services for female veterans nationwide was the driving force behind establishing a program for women who have served in the military. Each of these programs led to the need to honor those who go above and beyond in the community at our "Annual Chosen Royal Diadem" Event.

Virtuous Woman Inc is a uniquely designed organization of faithful and committed women that have been encouraging the empowerment and development of underprivileged populations of at-risk youth and minority women through prevention and awareness since 2011.

Our passion is driven by the lack of programs to available to educate minority communities facing mental health disparities and substance use disorders. Annually, we provide awareness workshops, training through group dynamics, and social events to foster change within the region.

For the past 14 years, we have successfully provided mentorship for over 100 at-risk youth, provided stress management for hundreds of minorities, increased awareness of survivors of intimate partner violence and addiction.

Annually, Virtuous Woman Inc. recognizes individuals who achieve above and beyond in their communities, by inspiring and empowering others with our "Chosen Royal Diadems" Event.  Virtuous Woman Inc. has afforded the opportunity to expose the  at-risk youth in our programs  to over 50 entertainers, actors, minority trailblazers, and athletes since 2011.
